Stephan E. Cheek, CLU, ChHC
Broker
Steve graduated from Valdosta State College with a BBA Degree in Business Administration majoring in Accounting. He has worked in the insurance business since 1982, specializing in individual and group health, life, and disability, as well as individual long-term care insurance and Medicare products. Steve earned his Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU), Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC) and Chartered Healthcare Consultant (ChHC) degrees, and has been active in a number of local and national professional organizations, and is AHIP certified. Steve has been honored with numerous awards, including New York Life’s Agent of the Year Award for 1989. He is a past President of the Macon CLU and ChFC Chapter and a current member of The Society of Financial Service Professionals and the National Association of Health Underwriters.
When he is not at work, Steve enjoys studying his Bible, trying new recipes, spending time with his family and friends, woodworking in his shop, and shooting sporting clays.
R. Grace Howell
Broker
Grace graduated Summa Cum Laude from Middle Georgia State University with her Batchelor’s of Business Administration in Management. She began working in insurance in 2018 and earned her agent’s license in 2019. Grace is a member of the National Health Underwriter’s Association and the local Middle GA chapter. As a member of the Christian family, Grace’s personal goal is to love her neighbor as herself through providing quality service to all of her clients. She specializes in group insurance benefits, as well as individual health, life, disability, and long term care insurance.
Outside of her career, Grace enjoys being outdoors with her family and friends, playing disc golf, tennis, shooting sporting clays, hiking beautiful trails, and traveling to new places.
Sue Sims
Sue is a retired CMA (AAMA), LPN, has been with our agency since 2019 on a part time basis. Sue works primarily in the fall during Open Enrollment verifying client information and scheduling review appointments. She enjoys interacting with our clients every year and getting to know each one she speaks with. Sue’s experience in the medical field is a great asset when it comes to her work with our Medicare clients’ prescriptions and doctors.
Outside of the office, Sue enjoys spending time with her husband and three dogs, Doodle Bug; Sugar; and Angel. She is an active member of her church and The American Association of Medical Assistants.
Joy Howell
Joy, the newest addition to our team, began work with us in the Spring of 2022. She is the first point of contact for clients. She maintains our electronic filing system and assists with other office tasks such as building spreadsheets and setting appointments. Joy is pursuing her marketing degree at Middle Georgia State University.
Joy likes playing tennis and playing her flute as well spending time with her family, especially when it is outdoors.
